Family of Four

When I first received these photos from my friend, Jessica, at Jessica Robinson Photography, I completely teared up at how much Sawyer had changed since we took the photos! 

Our squishy baby was only 6 days old when we woke up bright and early for this sunrise session, and he has packed on the pounds and changed so much since!

We so badly wanted some shots of his little nakie booty sleeping, but after an almost 3 hour session, he would NOT SLEEP! I nursed him, nursed him again, we walked around, we turned up the heat, we did everything and our baby just wanted to be awake for all of the action.

As long as some of the days are, I look through these pictures and I see the 3 boys I love most in the world (Ax included) and my heart is filled so much it could burst.

Sometimes when Sawyer is cuddling with Jake in the middle of the night, I whisper to him that he is the luckiest little boy. He won the jackpot of Fathers. He doesn't know it yet, but his Dad really is the best man and would go to the ends of the earth for both of us.

We are so in love with our Sawyer! As of last Friday, he is one month old, and earlier this week we had his one month checkup. Our chunky monkey is 11.25 pounds, 21.5 inches long, and has a big ole' head in the 85th percentile. We have a future linebacker on our hands! Our pediatrician came into the exam room and said "well someone certainly hasn't missed a meal in the last month!"

Sawyer loves cuddling, nursing, and looking at all.of.the.things. If he is in the same position too long, he makes sure to let you know he needs a new view. He is so strong, holds his head up on his own most of the time, and amazes us during tummy time! Bath time is his favorite, and he loves getting his lotion massage, even if he hates when the cold air hits his skin once we take him out.

He hates being in his car seat, sleeping, and anytime he isn't in mom or dad's arms. He has big bright eyes, loves to be loved, and we just can't get enough of him!
