Rose & Co Blog: How to be the Best Wife Ever

How to be the Best Wife Ever

Happy Friday, friends!

I have to let you in on a little secret. This pregnancy has been no walk in the park for Jake. Sure, i'm the one carrying around a bowling ball where my abs used to be, but he has had to deal with every single gripe and complaint, and one too many melt downs to boot.

So when he called me at 5:00 PM on Thursday night and told me some of the guys from his fantasy league were coming over to watch the football game, I thought I could make it a little extra special for them :)

I was already at Sams Club picking up toilet paper #pregnantbladderprobs and I was stopping by the Cafe to pick up my favorite very berry sundae, and I spotted this combo and my little wheels started turning!

It is really so simple to throw together a pizza party with a little extra pizzaz, and this came together in less than 5 minutes and I know the guys really loved it.

The first thing I did was of course, grab this Family Combo from Sam's Club. Seriously, so simple. What a great deal, too. A 16 inch pizza, cheesy breadsticks, cookies, AND a 2 liter of Coke for $13.98. Tell me where else you can feed 4 hungry men for under 15 bucks?!

Oh yeah, and cookies for Sawyer and I. ;)

The next thing I did to make it a little extra special is break out our football glasses, and because I love me a good paper straw, I just popped a brown striped one in the glasses and called it a day. They didn't say so, but I know the guys appreciated the little extra cute I added to their glasses. ;)

It's not much, but I really believe using real plates can make a huge difference in your table scape. The last step was putting some small dishes on the table for cookies & breadsticks, and large plates for plenty of pizza. Since there were just a few guys coming over, I made them toss their plates in the dishwasher before they left and cleanup was even easier than using paper products. And because I don't want these leftovers in my house (see below picture. I LOVE Pizza) I set out some cute little paper bags I have on hand for the guys to bring home whatever was leftover.

And when no one was looking, I stole my own slice ;)

Is your husband as obsessed with Football season as mine is? I feel like ALL we do Thursday-Monday is watch game after game! What is your favorite thing to eat from the Sams Club Cafe? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you all have a weekend full of LOTS of Fall fun! I'll see you next week.
