What a WEEK! I talked about it a little bit on Monday, but we truly had the best weekend ever last weekend and even sitting here halfway through the week, I haven't stopped thinking about it!
If there is one thing I know about myself, it's that i'm about as basic white girl as they come. It's FINALLY the first day of Fall, guys! I feel like I wished away the entire summer waiting for this day to arrive. Blanket scarves are officially appropriate attire, even if the high is 85 today ;)
Let's hop into the bumpdate, shall we?
How far along? 34 weels!
Total weight gain: 25 pounds. I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow, and i'm a little nervous, I wont lie. I feel like I can do all the walking and all the healthy eating in the world, and the pounds will still be packed on in these last few weeks. I'm doing my best to let it roll of my shoulders. :) (and hopefully it rolls off my love handles the same way once he arrives!)
Maternity clothes? All day every day! I do wish I could be in sweats all day every day, though. Getting dressed in the morning has become a huge struggle.
Stretch marks? Yep! The ones on my hips have just gotten progressively worse and spread down my booty and legs.
Sleep: Whats that?
Best moment this week: Our SURPRISE baby shower on Saturday! I talk about it more in the Vlog below, but seriously, it was the best day EVER! Jake and I both work for the same company doing different things, and I have to say we work with the BEST people in the world. It was such a surprise and our little man was spoiled rotten.
Miss Anything? Everything about not being pregnant. :)
Movement: His movement is slowing down and not as strong as it has been before, I think that is just because he is running out of space! Every movement he does make now moves my entire belly, though. It's the weirdest thing to see!
Food cravings: If you follow me on Snapchat @absolutelykylie you saw the most delicious apple crisp I threw together last night! It was heavenly! I just sliced some apples, added a little cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar, and topped with granola and microwaved for 2 minutes. It was SO good! You never know when pregnancy cravings will strike, people.
Anything making you queasy or sick: I just gagged taking my prenatal vitamin. But other than that, nothing in particular. My belly is feeling pretty squished though and there isn't a lot of room for food in it!
Gender: Little Guy
Labor Signs: I think i've been having some labor signs, or at least signs that my body is prepping for labor. I've been having some slightly painful Braxton Hicks contractions. I've also been having a lot lot LOT of back pain. And there is so much pressure in my hoo-ha these days that i'm afraid if I don't keep my legs crossed he will fall out. TMI?
Symptoms: I feel like the day after you've run a marathon almost every single day. My body is definitely getting warn down and so sore. Every morning that I wake up for work I want to cry! It really is amazing what our bodies do in these 40 weeks.
Belly Button in or out? Still popped out like a turkey timer!
Wedding rings on or off? My wedding set still fits just fine, but my "promise ring" that Jake got me for my 16th birthday is too tight. I can only get it on and off with soap so I don't wear it on my right hand anymore. Hopefully these fingers go back to their normal size after Sawyer comes!
Happy or Moody most of the time: For 34 weeks i've done nothing but tell you how happy I am, but i've got to say, i'm firmly in "moody camp" now. It's a weird mix of feeling overwhelmingly grateful for this healthy pregnancy, and this growing little boy, and truly being so in love with him, and just being so overtired. These next 5-6 weeks can't go by quick enough, i'll tell you that!
Looking forward to: I am looking forward to D day! This weekend we are going to get our hospital bags packed and ready to go, thanks to my handy hospital bag checklist, and I think Jake finally agreed to install the carseat. It's still early, but lately i've been having nightmares of going into middle-of-the-night labor and not having a thing ready. It will be good for my sanity to just have things ready to go in case he decides to come a little early.
Now for the pictures on my camera roll...get ready for a good chuckle ;)
Every Saturday morning, Jake and I drink our coffee and lounge way longer than we should. Our lazy mornings are numbered! Sometimes we break out the headphones to see if we can get little man moving and grooving, and we discovered that this guy loves him some 90s jams. Just like his mama and dad :) Or maybe he was moving to escape the sound...but i'll pretend its the latter.
On the first NFL Sunday of the year, I really wanted to show my San Diego pride, however, after trying on every.single.jersey I own, it was discovered that it just wasn't going to happen.
These pictures are the day we turned 33 weeks. I can't believe how much he dropped that week!
Our sweet cake that my coworkers surprised us with at our baby shower. Isn't it adorable? There was some leftover after the shower and Jake and I sat in our pajamas Sunday morning eating it for breakfast. :)
Can I just say, everyone, and I mean EVERYONE should do their maternity pictures in their pajamas? I was so comfy and happy all day! And I can't even handle these sneak peaks that our photographer, Jessica Robinson Photography, posted. I can't WAIT to see the rest!
