6 MONTHS PREGNANT! 23 & 24 Week Bumpdate

Hello my friends, and Happy Hump Day!

This week has been a brutal one being the first back from a fabulous staycation last week, but i'm so happy to see Wednesday make its beautiful appearance so we can be on the downward slope to the weekend!

This is seriously my favorite post to write. I know that it's not the most interesting to those of you looking for home updates or tutorials, but I have this little problem called diarrhea of the mouth in which I like to overshare everything and this is the one post I can put it all out there. So lets hop to it, shall we?

How far along? 24 weeks, 6 months without cocktails. #struggleisreal

Total weight gain: 10 pounds is my guess. My scale broke (Jake said it was cause I weigh too much for it now, I kicked him) but 10 is my guess.

Maternity clothes? That's all I fit in! I'm thinking of packing away all of my pre-pregnancy dresses until next Spring. They're just taking up closet space and won't stretch over the belly!

Stretch marks? Yep! I still don't have any on my belly, but on each hip I have 3 dark ones. I thought I would be devastated the day they showed up, but I seriously couldn't care less.

Sleep: I sleep so good once I fall asleep, but I wake up so sore every day. I have a mountain of pillows around me, but everything from my back to my boobs just ache when I wake up in the morning.

Best moment this week: Well last week was full of nothing but best moments! We had such a great vacation with family and friends. We also built his crib, dresser, AND painted the nursery. Peak inside in the vlog below!

Miss Anything? I can't believe it's been a half a year without a cocktail. I will make it through an entire Summer without a single Margarita or Shocktop. I don't really miss it during the week, but I loved happy hour on Friday nights with the hubs, so that's when an ice cold beer makes me salivate! Do you think baby S will be here in time for a Halloween Octoberfest? Here is hoping ;)

Movement: Crazy alien freak out movements. I got the craziest kicks on camera yesterday to send to my friends and Grandma, and one of my girlfriends said "is he trying to escape!?" He also likes to lodge himself right under my ribs which can be a little uncomfortable but the movements are still fun and not painful, so i'm not complaining.

Food cravings: THIS JUST IN: I no longer like Cherry icees. This has been my #1 craving, and I got one the other day and couldn't even drink half without gagging! I had also been craving some shaved ice, but the soft snow-y kind not the crunchy kind, and when I finally got it, I felt so sick to my stomach after and that was enough to kill that craving.

Anything making you queasy or sick: My aversion to melted cheese is starting to lessen. I still prefer my cheese unmelted, and I will usually ask for my meal without it, but it's not sending me straight to the toilet like it did before. Garlic however is still on my naughty-list and I don't want anything to do with it.

Gender: Little baby boy :)

Labor Signs: Braxton Hicks are back this week. I think it's because I didn't do the best job of drinking my gallon of water a day during our vacation. They aren't painful by any means, just really tight and uncomfortable.

Symptoms: I mentioned the rib pain, and HOLY HEARTBURN! I have heartburn every day of my life. It's like burn your esophagus, call the fireman, my chest is going to rip open heartburn, but it's nothing a few tums can't manage. I'm just a little dramatic. :)

Belly Button in or out? Sort of halfway in, halfway out. I keep expecting it to pop all the way out, but she is still hanging on to her innie status!

Wedding rings on or off? on

Happy or Moody most of the time: Still so completely happy. Every morning I drive to work just so, so thankful for this pregnancy and healthy boy! I did have a few breakdowns this week though. Yesterday I had the type of Tuesday where I just #couldnoteven and wanted to cry out of frustration from the time I woke up to the time I finally got to sleep. Then there was the incident where the cat ate my cream cheese and I lost it. I blame the hormones, cause aint nobody got time for all this crazy.

Looking forward to: Our 3D/4D ultrasound is in just a few weeks, and I can't wait to see that chubby baby face on the screen. Mostly i'm just really getting anxious for Fall! With the nordies anniversary sale happening i'm dying to get in some boots, non-maternity jeans, and cozy flannels. All the while dressing up my baby to match cause, well, I'm embarrassing like that and I can. :)

Now for some fun pictures from our amazing staycation! I didn't post nearly enough on instagram @absolutelyarkansas, so I needed to share some of our fun photos here:

We took our family to the safari, where you get real up close and personal with some awesome animals. We're talking camel, zebra, and weird fly-covered antelope thing all up in yo business.

Of course we spent tons of time at the lake, and what's the point of having a best friend if you cant match? It was the best having Bree & Tyler here to visit!

Jake and I spent every morning drinking coffee after sleeping in, snuggling with our pups. He isn't supposed to sleep in our bed, yet somehow, he ends up there morning after morning. :)

It was the best few weeks of our entire Summer so far. And now that the 4th is over, you know i'm dying to start decorating for the 'ers!

I mentioned on instagram (@absolutelyarkansas) that our sweet friends gave us the most darling gift basket with baby clothes galore, and the most precious story book for our little guy. Check out the vlog below to see the entire book, watch me cry Kim Kardashian tears, and peak inside the newly painted nursery.

It's such an honor being able to share this part of my life with you! Thank you so much for following along. If you're interested in anything else pregnancy related, or want to see some of my other bumpdates, you can find them all HERE!

Until Next Time,
xo Kylie

  2. Aww the room is looking so cute! I just love that you guys are decorating your whole house. So many people don't fix up their rooms and everything looks "blah." Your house is adorable!

Also, were you and your hubby together since high school?!?! You are both 25, right?

  5. Heartburn is the DEATH OF ME!!!! It's insane!! And I haven't experienced any braxton hicks that I KNOW of yet. When we were at L&D after the wreck saga, they said the monitor picked up a couple, but I would have never known! I agree with everyone else, LOVE that swimsuit. We're going to OKC this weekend for my nephew's birthday party/pool party and this mama NEEDS a swimsuit. Ugh. Not super excited about hunting one down tomorrow! YAY for getting some of Sawyer's furniture built!!! You look absolutely precious, so beautiful :)

  6. Oh my gosh Kylie, thank you so much for posting this! Your vlogs are so great, I'm actually thinking about incorporating them into my own blog now all because of YOU!
Anyway, I'm probably about to write way too much in this comment so here we go... I have like a million questions.
How do you film your vlogs? What (if any) editing program do you use before posting your vlogs? How much time do you spend on them? (Basically I just want to know your whole process...) I think that's all I have for now.
My fiance is gunna kill me if he finds out, but girl your blog posts have got me itching to get pregnant! SHH! You just look amazing as a momma.

    1. Thank you so much, Elisebeth! That menas a ton to me. I film my Vlog's on my Cannon DSLR camera using a 50mm lens most of the time. I edit them in iMovie. Filming doesn't take too long, I try to get some clips throughout the week and then one full sit-down session, probably an hour total, but editing can take anywhere from an hour-three hours depending what it is! This weekend I need to finally sit down and finish editing our honeymoon video that I STILL haven't completed from a year and a half ago! What can you do ;)

      I hope this helped you!

      xo!

  7. I am Alecia used every single spell worker on the internet, spent untold amounts of money and discovered they are all fakes…i was the fool though; doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. In the end, I decided that I wanted a tarot reading to know what my future held for me; I contacted a woman who lives locally to me and she told me about a man named (Dr Abalaka); he does not advertise on the internet, has another job for income, has no set prices, makes no false promises and refuses to help anyone that cannot be helped and even helps for free sometimes, he will give you proof before taking money. He is a wonderful man and he was the only person who actually gave me real results. I really hope he doesn’t mind me advertising his contact on the internet but I’m sure any help/ extra work will benefit him.contact him as dr.abalaka@outlook.com He travel sometimes.love marriage, finance, job promotion ,gambling voodoo, lottery Voodoo, poker voodoo, golf Voodoo,Law & Court case Spells, money voodoo, weigh loss voodoo, any sicknesses voodoo,Trouble in marriage,it’s all he does Hope this helps everyone that is in a desperate situation as I once was; I know how it feels to hold onto something and never have a chance to move on because of the false promises and then to feel trapped in wanting something
