Again, I have to start by thanking you so much for your amazingly sweet words and comments on Part One and Part Two of our wedding photos. You amazing people never cease to make me smile. Reliving this day with you has been so much fun for me, so thank you, thank you, thank you.
Have I got the motherload of pictures for you today! In an effort to fit all our wedding pictures into this week, today is PACKED with every "after ceremony" event I could get in. Reception, dance parties, food, drinks, dancing, decor, dancing some more, karaoke, and of course, my fair share of tears ;)
If you love our wedding photos, (which obviously I do) make sure you reach out to Kris Skurja Photography if you're in the Southern California Area!
Lets jump right into decor. I have to say, our wedding was a labor of love. We literally DIY'ed every.single.thing. and it was 1.5 years of crafts, crafts, crafts. It made it so special though, knowing that day had personal touches all over it.
This little frame was filled with some of our cutest baby pictures, as well some of our favorites of us throughout the years.
On the bottom of this table we had color books, crayons, and little crafts for the kiddies to keep busy. It also housed our card box and "guest book"
Our escort cards were clipped to twine between two trees. It worked perfectly!
I really wanted the night to "glow" so that meant candles everywhere. These little lanterns were a labor of love, and i'm so glad we took the time to make them.
Our "Guest Book" was a large wooden monogram we had everyone sign. A beautiful piece of art we can now keep in our home!
I loved our glitter everywhere! Our colors were soft pink and gold, and the touch of sparkle made me all giddy inside. The day before the wedding all us girls put together hundreds of flower arrangements for the day, and it was one of the most fun parts of the wedding prep! We saved tons of money and they were gorgeous.
All of the empty burlap vases were used to hold the bridesmaids bouquets after the wedding and they really helped to fill out the decor of the table.
Notice the conservative dip. After the first kiss fiasco, Jake wanted to play it safe ;)
We had the chance to thank everyone after our first dance, and Jake had no idea we would be making a toast. He hadn't prepared anything to say, and was nervous...and he literally opened with "waazzzuupppppp!" I.DIED. We will forever laugh about that and I will never let him live it down.
I loved these little jars! We used mason jars instead of glasses (original, right?) but I printed these little tags for each one. "Wedding Survival Jar, Just Add Booze!"
Time for Toasts! (and tears!)
Bree's toast was hilarious. She rapped, she sang, she was inappropriate, and she was so, so genuine. I love this girl!
...and my sweet sister made me cry my eyes out.
and Jakes Dad made him bawl his eyes out.
And then my Dad made us laugh our butts off, right before the father daughter dance. My Dad and I danced to an acoustic version of "sweet child of mine."
Mama-Son dance! They danced to "Landslide" covered by the Dixie Chicks.
and then we danced some more with our guests! This is my new Grandpa, and I just love him so ;)
Whats a wedding without a little male-on-male booty grabbing?
Jake and Grandma Marilyn.
Jake and my Mama.
Jake and my Grandma.
We cut the cake and I smooshed it all over his face. So he made me kiss it off. Plus that cake was really good and I didn't want it to go to waste ;)
No one tells you how embarrassing the garter toss is. SUUURRREE just go right ahead and stick your head up my dress in front of all our friends and family. Peerfect.
and thats where the party started....
My husband missed his calling as a performer. He broke out a version of "Baby Got Back" that would make Sir-Mix-a-lot jealous.
This dance off between Jakes brother, Josh, and himself was one of the funniest parts of the night. Everyone was rolling over laughing. Josh totally won, but don't tell Jake that ;)
We ended the night with an amazing sparkler send off, that was so beautiful and oh-so-perfect to say goodbye.
It was the PERFECT night. I have never felt more loved, or felt more love pouring out of me than I did on this day. Thank you so much for reliving it with me!
Tomorrow on the last day of wedding prettiness, I will share the best photos of the entire day. The ones of my Groom and I when we saw each other for the first time, and all the kissy kissy boo boo photos of right after the wedding.
Happy Friday Eve!
Until Next Time,
