Master Bedroom Update: Jake's Nightstand

Happy Hump Day, friends!

Just wanted to quickly pop in today because I realized I never shared with you Jake's nightstand. I showed you my nightstand a few weeks back, and I wanted to show you what sits on the other side of the bed!

Jake's is just as simple as mine, just sans the flowers and picture of himself ;) I'm really loving bringing some chrome accents into our room so when I spotted this chrome ampersand beauty at Homegoods I knew she would be the perfect not-that-girly piece for his side of the bed. It's really tough creating a visually pleasing vignette while not adding anything that screams "my wife doesn't let me decorate anything in our home...I might not even live here" That's a true statement Jake said to me once. So I try to have him at least give his opinion on things before we pounce!

Having Jake help make decor decisions is seriously brilliant. I have a tendency to go for all-white-all-girly-all-the-time and he suggested these nightstands and i'm still smitten by the warmth the wood tone brings to the room. These pictures show a great detail of the faux-wood-grain and it totally makes me smile everytime I walk in the room.

That's it for bedroom progress! We're doing some not-so-blogworthy things in the coming weeks like ordering a new mattress, fixing holes in the walls, adjusting our bedframe. Lame things that don't photograph well, so I hope to have an upate for you very soon! Next on the list is finishing up some wall art and new bedding! It will come together one day..I hope.
