Christmas 2016 (Home Tour & a Merry Morning!)

Ya'll, it truly is a Christmas miracle that I took these pictures and got them up...even if it is a few days after Christmas! I figure it's still advent so i'm not too late, right? :) I had so much fun decorating this home for the first time for Christmas. It is much bigger than our first home, and the layout is so much different, so I did have to buy a few things here and there, and we really only decorated the main living space, but hopefully after a few years of collecting i'll be able to decorate every space in the entire house! With that, I invite you on in to our very Merry Home :)

Sawyer LOVES Curious George, so it felt like a natural ornament to get our silly little boy.

As much as I love our home, I don't know that I will ever get over not having a fireplace here! I loved to hang the stockings on the mantel in our first home, and although this solution works for now, I greatly miss how cozy a fireplace feels!

I put this little tree in Sawyer's play area to let him decorate, pull on, and go crazy with in hopes that it kept him from being too crazy around the big tree. I think it worked?! He did pretty good being gentle on the ornaments and would point at us and say "no no!" when he went near it. Little sweetie! And do you see that twerking Santa? If you follow me on snapchat you know it was the talk of our Christmas ;)

I mean, could you just devour him whole or what??

My favorite family ornament of all time! :)

I am just in love with our home but even moreso the people in it with me. We are so blessed. What a year 2016 was! It is mind blowing to me that next year we'll have two little babies hanging out with us under the tree. To see last year's home tour click here!

On to Christmas morning! My goodness gracious, it could not have been any more amazing. Jake and I were up late assembling toys, and making cinnamon rolls and breakfast casserole for the next day, but as soon as 6 AM hit, I was buzzing with more excitement than I have had in years! There truly is something so amazing about having a little one experience Christmas. It beats any other Christmas i've ever had! We have the incredble fortune of living on the same street as my parents and my in-laws, so we stopped by my parents house first to do gifts and experience Santa-morning with my little brother, then we all headed back to our house for more gifts and FOOD!

I thought Kaedyn might actually explode from how excited he was that Santa brought him a "skooder" just like he asked for. He also got an xbox, and more toys than you can count. Not spoiled at all for a 5 year old, huh? :)

My favorite picture EVER framed for my parents house.

My sister, Kassidy, is such a book worm and this mug was perfect for her!

Christmas at my mom & dads is always absolute chaos. It's so much wrapping paper, laughs, and FUN!

Once we headed back to our house Sawyer saw his new ball pit and just screamed. We put him in the balls and he was just swimming in them laughing hysterically. It was the time of his life!

Soon after the Roses came over for even more gifts and our little man was headed straight for a Christmas coma. We put him down for a nap, and Jake and I had our fair share of being spoiled rotten. We haven't gotten to celebrate Christmas with Jake's family in 5 years, so to say they went overboard would be an understatement! Not only did our little guy make out like a bandit, his daddy and I were absolutely showered in love!

Jacob got me this barefoot dreams bathrobe that I have been just lusting after, and I haven't been able to take it off since! It's so cozy and wonderful! I had some cuddles with my boys, some breakfast, and we all headed in for a Christmas nap and ended the day with an Italian feast. It was the best Christmas of my entire life.

Jake reminded me tonight that each Christmas is only going to get better, and I just can't wait. I can't wait for our little ones to run upstairs Christmas morning, jump on our bed, and drag us downstairs way too early. We are so very blessed by the profound love that Christmas celebrates. I hope you felt so much Christmas magic with the ones you love most! Until next year, Santa. :)

xo!

If you're interested-I had my iPhoto throw together this little video of some pictures and the home videos we took Christmas morning...I only planned on sharing it with family so it's nothing groundbreaking, but they're memories i'll forever treasure!

  2. After the word Christmas, I immediately think of a not very pleasant situation for me. I have a tradition of giving presents to all my friends and family at Christmas, but this time I almost broke it, because I lost my job shortly before the holiday. I was not desperate and started looking for professional cv writers and found www.topcvservices.co.uk , they are the best of their kind
