Camel Coat + Loving Yourself

Jeans: Old Navy (mid-rise to suck in those love handles!) // Sweater: Target, old- Similar Here // Booties: Mia (in olive) // Coat: Thread & Supply on MAJOR sale! // Sunnies: Kenneth Cole thanks to TJ Maxx

My first outfit post in MONTHS! Literally, months. There is something about putting on real clothes and getting photos taken that makes me want to stay in pajamas all day ;)

It has taken me a little bit of time to learn to love my postpartum body for all that it went through. I'm back down to my pre-pregnancy weight, however, EVERYTHING is different. Giant boobs, wide hips, a little extra cushion around my mid-section. All things that are proof that I made a perfect little human, but things that are still hard to get used to, and REALLY hard to learn to dress.

I've recently started the Tone It Up 8 week challenge, and i'm feeling really good about toning on up, but the truth is, if my hips never shrink, and I always have a little extra lovin' on my body, i'm learning to not let it bother me. You gotta love yourself, sisters! 9 months on, 9 months off is what i'm holding myself to. Plus, after a long day with the babe, i've earned that extra square of dark chocolate :)

On that note, these jeans are mid-rise so they suck in that extra tummy, my new favorite thing in a pair of jeans :) These booties are awesome also, because the wedge is rubber, so they will work great in rainy and snowy conditions.

If you buy this coat-which is on super sale, size up. I bought it when I was still pregnant, and I knew it wouldn't button then, but I can BARELY squeeze it over my boobs to button it these days, so I would totally recommend going up a size to accommodate sweaters/scarves as well.

Thats all for today! Thanks for checkin in, mamas!

Until Next Time,

  2. Such a good message! I've been having lady issues since this time last year and it has made it soooo hard to not gain weight or feel bloated. I have to remember that my body is telling me something, not the exact same as baking a human for 9 months, but I can relate to feeling like your body is not quite under your control. You look amazing and I love the causal, cute outfit.

    1. Love yourself, sister! Being healthy is definitely about what we're putting into our bodies and keeping active, but it's just as much being mentally healthy and feeling good too. You are gorgeous!

  3. Aren't the hips the worst part! They make it feel like your pre prego jeans will never ever fit the same! I swear if my hips shrunk my jeans would sort of fit. Of course it's definitely all worth our new mom bodies though :)

    1. I'm only 4 months late responding here, but i'm happy to report these pants are now too big! It all works itself out in the end, I guess ;) But it is SO worth every pound gained!

  4. I'm expecting my first and I'm almost to the 7 month mark and I am not used to these boobs at all! That is what I'm worried about dressing after baby because I heard they only get bigger, I'm a natural A so I'm not used to actually having boobs to cover up. I've always had bigger hips so hopefully they don't change too much! Good message though!
