Third Trimester Updates + 4D Ultrasound Footage!

It never ceases to amaze me how darn quickly Monday seems to come around. Right now it feels a bit like the days are creeping by slowly, but the weeks are flying. I wish the days would speed up a little, but i'm not complaining about Fall approaching quickly!

As much as i'm counting the days to holding our little man, everyone keeps telling me to savor these last few days as just Jake and I, and to not wish away the Summer! (Easy for them to say...they aren't carrying around a 3 pound furnace in their torso!)

Dress: Non-Maternity: Old Navy (now on sale!) //  Floppy Hat:Similar On Sale! // Sandals: Charlotte Russe: similar style here // Bracelets: F21 // Lipstick: Mac, Honey with Nude Gloss on top

Okay seriously, almost everything i'm sharing today is on crazy sale...get these summer deals while their hot! (literally ;)

The last BumpDate I shared with you was all the way back at 26 weeks, and we're 29 now, so lets get wordy with it and into all the changes that have happened in the last 21 days :)

How far along? 29 weeks. Well into the THIRD trimester. It's the home stretch people! 70-something days until D-Day!

Total weight gain: 18 pounds as of this morning. I was just telling Jake that I didn't feel like I was gaining that much weight anywhere but of course my belly, but looking at these pictures and then the video below, I can definitely see my face filling out more than it has before. It's all part of the beauty of growing a human I guess ;)

Maternity clothes? Of course. This dress i'm wearing is actually non maternity (woot-woot!) and it's super comfy so i'm living in Maxi's just like it. I know I can't stop talking about it, but ThredUp has been my favorite spot to shop for Maternity clothes at a discount. Speaking of, I blogged all about how to build your Maternity Wardrobe without breaking your bank last week!

Stretch marks? None on my belly, but I have quite a few on my hips. I really thought it would bother me more than it has, but I guess pregnancy has it's way of making you lose your vanity :)

Sleep: No.no.no. Sleep and I are really in a hate-hate relationship right now. It's so rough, you guys. I feel like in the last trimester your body really does know that a tiny little human will be keeping you from rest in the near future, and therefore decides to prep you by causing you to wake up every hour on the hour. Some nights the heavens open and I sleep the sleep of angels, others I wake up 1000 times more tired than when I fell asleep. Most nights I find myself just wishing it was daylight already so I could be up and going for the day. At least i'm learning to function on little-to-no rest for when the baby arrives!

Best moment this week: We had our 4D ultrasound (footage below!) and it was the coolest moment of my life! Seeing him sucking on his lips, yawning, covering his face up with his hands, and getting our first peak at what he looks like blew my mind. He has my pointy chin that runs in my family, and Jake's nice full lips. He was a little stinker who kept his face either buried in my cervix or smooshed up against my uterus most of the time, but those glimpses we got of him were oh-so-special.

Miss Anything? I'm really missing not being pregnant. I'm going to be honest with you, it's no walk in the park. I'm incredibly thankful, and every little wiggle and shake he gives me make my heart skip a beat, but the days of normal bladder function and non-hormonal skin will certainly be welcomed come October.

Movement: Oh yeah!Really big strong movements that I know are just going to increase over the next few weeks. Jake and I love to sit and just watch my belly move! Although, with stronger movements come weirder side effects, like kicks to the bladder that make you SPRINT to the bathroom.

Food cravings: This week I was dying for some Garlic fries from Petco Park in San Diego. Seeing as we're 1600 miles away from home and they might get soggy by the time they were delivered, we settled for some Smash Fries from Smash Burger and they were so tasty! They weren't Petco Park tasty, but they did hit the spot.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Well, clearly, Garlic isn't grossing me out anymore. And the other day I could have eaten an entire deep-dish pizza, so melted cheese isn't as repulsive either. Happy to report food aversions are on their way out! For this week at least ;) I am noticing a bit of "morning" sickness coming back, however. It's nothing compared to those first few weeks of pregnancy, and can be managed pretty easily with a small meal, so i'm not complaining!

Gender: Our sweet little guy.

Labor Signs: I talked in the video below about our scare at 27 weeks. We ended up at Labor & Delivery after 24 hours of period-like cramping, but it turns out it was just a UTI. A week of antibiotics and lots of water and I was good as new. I did get an early tour of the Labor and Delivery ward of our hospital though, so that was neat :)
Braxton Hicks are coming more frequently now, but they are uncomfortable at their worse, so i'd hardly consider that a labor sign.

Symptoms: Rib Pain is still terrible. I'm going to go ahead and rank this with "just as bad" as the morning sickness of the first 18 weeks. It's a constant feeling of my ribs being ripped apart, and the only thing that provides some relief is laying down on my left side, which isn't exactly how I can live out these last few weeks of pregnancy. I am taking solace in the fact that we're so close to done, that it makes it a little easier to deal with. Hopefully as he drops down to his final birthing position the pain lessens.

Belly Button in or out? OUT! No more commitment issues for my belly button, it is completely out and ready to say hello. You can see it through all of my clothes now, it's like the timer on my belly saying "ready to pop!"

Wedding rings on or off? My wedding rings are still on just fine, but I do find that my "promise ring" that Jake gave me when we were 16 is really tight and hard to get off at the end of the day. It's a whole size smaller than my wedding ring so thats probably the reason for the tight squeeze.

Happy or Moody most of the time: While proof-reading this post, I realized it did seem chalk-full of complaints, but I have to say, i'm still overwhelmingly happy. I do have a few more moody days lately (i'm like an over-tired toddler sometimes) but I know i'm going to miss these days when it's just me and my son all the time. He is literally with me everywhere I go and that is something i'll never totally get back again, so even through the aches and pains that come with growing this little guy, I feel incredibly blessed to get to carry him and have this time just the two of us before I have to share him with the world.

Looking forward to: October! It's almost the "Er's" which we all know I live for, but come October, Sawyer Rose is officially full-term and is welcome any time he'd like to make his appearance. I'm starting to feel like we need to get into prep mode, because it really will be here before we know it!

I always try to share some iPhone photos that I can find on my camera roll to share the "not so fancy" side of this bump, but I hardly had any from the last few weeks! I recently became super tech-enabled and learned how to use SnapChat, and we've been sharing a TON of our bump-adventures there if you'd like to follow along: AbsolutelyKylie

Tank: Target // Pants: Lululemon Groove Pant (best EVER for pregnancy) // Backpack: Dakine

Dress: Target // Cardi: Old from Nordstrom. Similar style here //

^^^Look at me all SnapChatty ;)

This picture is from 28 weeks but I couldn't believe how big this belly was! It's even bigger now, and I might fall flat on my face before this pregnancy is over.

In L&D at 27 weeks feeling like the biggest drama queen ;)

aaaaand just for fun, my husband, Jake, takes all of my blog pictures for me, and I asked him to fix my hat, and this is what he did. Thanks babe, you help me stay fashion forward. ;)

In the next few weeks I need to get our hospital & diaper bag PACKED! I'd love to hear from you mama's and moms-to-be what essentials you have packed, or what I must not forget! It's a little overwhelming to think about ;)

Thanks so much for coming by, you know how special it is for me to look back on this pregnancy through my little ol' blog. If you're interested in anything else pregnancy related click HERE!

  1. I'm sorry you're not feeling that great! I started getting uncomfortable around the same time, but I think that's just part of it! The end really does go so fast, so try to enjoy it until then :).

  2. I promise you don't look like whale status :) The 4D ultrasound is so cool! We aren't doing one, but maybe for the next Ingle babe we will! I'm sorry you haven't been sleeping well!!!! If it makes you feel any better, I have ended up in the guest bed or on the couch the past three nights as well just so Adam can maybe still sleep with all my tossing and turning! Pregnancy sleep is on joke! Hopefully baby Sawyer makes an earlier than expected arrival so his hot mama can wear her new clothes sooner! ;) YAY fall! You are going to be a gorgeous, gorgeous mama , friend!

    1. I feel whale status! :) But thank you for saying that. We had a coupon and got to do the 4D for free, we both said we wouldn't have paid for it if it weren't for the coupon! It was cool, but it wasn't 200 dollars cool if you ask me. I hope you're doing well, my friend! Only 8 or so weeks to go for you, right?!

  3. OLD MAN BABY SWEATER! That is the most adorable thing I have ever seen. I know people normally get all excited over buying little girl' clothes, but I think the clothes for baby boys are so much cuter. Probably because they are just mini versions of men's clothing.

The 4D ultrasound was so cool! I am so excited for y'all!
