Live on the Blue Carpet: Bentonville Film Festival

Hey, friends!

Happy Friday eve to you! You may remember about a month ago, I posted on instagram @absolutelyarkansas that I had the delight of getting ready in a Kum n Go gas station bathroom for a "red" carpet event. I'm so excited to finally share the incredible time I had at the Bentonville Film Festival! We weren't allowed to bring our own cameras to the event, so please excuse the fuzzy iPhone photos, but I couldn't help but snap a few to share with you guys!

I was asked by Coke and Collective Bias to attend the festival and interview celebrities and film makers on the blue carpet and ask them about their summer, and who they plan to share a personalized Coke with in the warmer months :)

To say I was nervous is an understatement! I practiced in front of my mirror asking interview questions and trying to act natural, and I really tried to channel my inner Guiliana Rancic, but the second they put the mic on me, I was SO terrified!

It's amazing though, once you get out there and start asking the questions, you feel so comfortable, and the amazing people who came to NWA for the BFF festival we're so excited to take a break from serious questions and share with me some of their favorite summer memories and how they like to cool off with an ice cold personalized Coke :)

I screamed a little when Khandi Alexander #oliviasmom came down the carpet. My gorgeous co-host, Julie, had the privilege of interviewing her and she was AWESOME! She could not have been more fun. She said if she could share a Coke with anyone this summer, it would be her cat. A woman after my own soul. :)

I talk about it more in the video below, but I had the chance to interview Joey Lauren Adams who grew up in Arkansas, and I was totally fangirling out. It was awesome.

Just wait until you hear from the Patel family on the video below! This family knows how to party, and they had me cracking up through the entire interview. I didn't even know how to respond to half of their banter!

It was such an awesome experience and i'm so glad I was asked to participate. The Bentonville Film Festival is so near and dear to me because it was completely focused on diversity and empowering women, and well, as a woman, it's pretty darn special to be a part of something like that.

This year, Coke has made it easier than ever to share a coke with YOUR name on it! They've added 100's of names to their lineup, and at any Walmart you can find a giant clear bin that makes it easy to search for who you're looking for!

I couldn't leave without sharing some of my favorite interviews with you! I made a quick video below of the top 3 moments interviewing celebrities and film makers, and I would love if you take a little peek ;)

I'll ask you the same thing I asked my friends on the blue carpet, "If you could share a personalized Coke with any Woman in film, past or present, who would it be?!" Let me know in the comments below, and make sure you share your summer with me on the Share a Coke website!

Thanks as always for coming by, friends!

Until Next Time,
xo Kylie

  3. When I heard about the BFF at first I was so sad I couldn't drive up and check it out!! Not to mention Geena Davis founded it! So awesome that she brought such an awesome cause to a beautiful and previously less-than-well known part of the south!! Looks like you had a blast!! Loved your video!

  4. Oh my! You seem like such a natural out there interviewing celebs! I love the mission of this festival and so glad to see that it looks like it was such a success. I'm also glad that Coke brought back the Share A Coke campaign. I was always on the lookout for friends and family names last summer and have found myself doing the same again - such fun when you find a familiar name! Thanks for sharing ! #client
