Day Planner Tour, and How I Organize My Blog Posts!

Hey, ya'll!

Happy Friday Eve. I totally meant for this post to go up on hump-day but you know, life got in the way and here we are on Thursday.

If there is one thing I know for sure, it's that blogging is a second full-time job for me. So many hours upon hours go into creating posts, creating post content, and interacting with the amazing people in blogland, there is no way I could keep it all straight without my handy dandy planner. Seriously, y'all, this baby comes with me everywhere and I feel naked without it.

Jen's Iheart Planner has been a LIFE SAVER for me! I had it downloaded instantly, and my local print shop printed it for 10 dollars total. It helps me keep my days, as well as my blog posts completely organized. In the "month" I am able to write out which blog posts will go on which days. I try to plan out a month ahead, it helps me make the most use of my nights and weekends when I can just look at the week ahead and make a note of what supplies i'll need for what projects. It also reminds me to submit my content for collaborations and guest posts, something I know i'd forget if I didn't have my calendar to glance at! I try to post 3 times a week, trying to create a variety in what i'm posting about, so this calendar system is great for that as well.

I use the Martha Stewart Discbound System in the Junior size, which I could not live without! This system rocks because you can punch any piece of paper ever, and move and rearrange pages with ease.

The day function of this planner is so awesome as well! I am an avid list-maker, and before this planner you would find post-its EVERYWHERE with my "to-do" for the evening, but I love seeing the entire weeks worth of "to-do's" because I can see what I didn't complete last night, and move it to today's list. And the pretty colors don't hurt either! :)

Another amazing feature of the iHeart planner is the meal planning! I am a meal planning PRO! I have Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner down to a science during the week, and it helps with not only our budget, but I feel so much less stressed when I know what is cookin' for dinner tonight and I don't have to come up with something at 5:00 on my way home from the office. By that time I have a serious case of Hanger (hungry anger) and if I don't have something to eat fast, I turn into queen of the dragons. (and not in a cool Daenerys Targaryen way)

Overall this system has been a God-send for me. I feel so much more organized, like i'm actually able to balance the craziness of blogging & working full time.

How do you stay organized? If you're a blogger, do you fly by the seat of your pants or plan your posts in advance?

Thank you for coming by, my friends!

Until Next Time,
xo Kylie

  1. This reminds me a lot of my Erin Condren Life Planner! I would die without some sort of organization in my life! For blogging, I plan out important future posts, like any reviews, giveaways, or sponsored posts. But typical just me yappering on and on about running posts, those are just whenever they pop up! And I usually pull those together at night before bed or first thing in the morning before work :)

    1. Isn't that the best part of blogging? Getting to spill your guts about stuff that people at work won't listen to?! :) I've heard amazing things about the Erin Condren Life Planner! Isn't it so satisfying to scratch things off your list?

      Happy weekend, Sarah!

  4. The website is looking bit flashy and it catches the visitors eyes. Design is pretty simple and a good user friendly interface. http://skoopznatural.com
