I hear those sleigh bells jingilin'

Your going to think i'm crazy after this post (if you don't already think i'm a nut case that is), but I am LONGING for the days of winter! I know this is mostly because I have never really experienced a real winter in my life (I grew up in San Diego, we wear flip-flops at Christmas), but I literally am counting down the days to my favorite "ER" months. (you know, September, October, November, DECEMBER) I love to throw my warm Christmas print flannel sheets, listen to the Christmas music and drink my Tea next to the tree. If you know what I mean. I'm just waiting for the comments to pour in about how I really don't know what a real winter is like, and you would be right, but can't a girl just dream of the romance of Winter for a little bit!? I went to the snow with Jake for the first time ever last "winter", and it was COLD (you don't say)! The San Diegans that we are, we didn't even bring gloves, and I was shivering in my boots. But it was just SO DANG BEAUTIFUL I could have pitched a tent and dealt with the lack of feeling in my toes. Something about the all-white scenery is so romantic and beautiful to me.

Are you freaking kidding me?! Look at these trees! Its straight out of a story book.

Have I won you over yet?! This year will be my first "real" winter. Although it only snows in my part of Arkansas 3 or 4 times a year, that will be heaven for the girl who's idea of cold is 60. I think I may rummage through my Christmas boxes tomorrow just to get my "ER" fix to last me through these humid-buggy months. Until then, i'm going to crank up the AC and watch Elf (buddy the elf, whats your favorite color!) and maybe i'll see sugar plums in my head tonight.

  4. I bet the department stores love you. Hobby Lobby is already putting out Christmas decor as of two weeks ago. (grin) Hope you have the "real" winter this year that your wishing for.
Thanks for the comment on my Loquat cobbler. We only get loquats once a year usually in May but they're a great little fruit that we enjoy.

  5. Awww...how beautiful and Christmas-sy! :) My first ever snowy day, I was totally not dressed up for it, at least not as glamorous and pretty as you did! We live in a tropical country, I can only dream of white Christmas! Hopefully we can make a visit soon. :)

    New follower. :)

    Best Regards!
