They're tiger shrimp...

I have the best family in the world. I mean seriously, they are the most obnoxious, out there, silly, goofy, loving people I have ever met, and I am so happy I was stuck with them. (thanks big man upstairs!) A huge reason we knew we just had to move is because I can not imagine not seeing them weekly. Jake and I make it a point to go over to my Parents house for family dinner at least twice a week. You know how when your child moves out for the first time you want to call every 5 minutes just to make sure they are okay? Well, I don't know what that's like cause I call my parents every 5 minutes and instead of the "moooommmmmmmm i'm fiiinnneeeee" you'd expect, its more like a "Yes Kylie, everyone is fine, you can call us tomorrow". I know, humiliating...haha!

Tonight we had the usual fun, Jake and Kaedyn had fun playing on Jakes truck...

well, more like Kaedyn had fun and Jake watched closely to make sure the munchkin didn't go overboard...

Dad had fun cooking up our yummy food...

oh...and drinking...he's good at that too. The best part of the night was when I asked my Dad, "did you de-vein these shrimp? I don't want poo tacos" and he promptly responded with, "they don't need de-veining...they're tiger shrimp, it's not a poo-vein, its a stripe!". Wow dad, thanks now i've got a "belly full of white dog shrimp shit!" (name that movie).

None the less, it was a delicious meal, and I like to think I get my cooking skillllzzz from my Pops, thanks Dad! My favorite nights are ones like these. There is definitely something to be said for kicking back with the people who raised you for some good food, good laughs, and a hell of a good time.

mmmmm Taco Taco!

  2. Yummy!!! It might've been even better with a little shrimp poo. It's so cool that you like being your family so much! I hope my kids are the same. (Thanks for linking up with us over at #findingthefunny this week!)

  4. Hahahaha. You crack me up. I have a major issue with de-pooping shrimp. If I get a shrimp with poop, that's it, I'm done...appetite gone.

Sounds like you have fun with your family. I'm jealous. My family isn'y like that. It' sad.
